While many of us look forward to indulging in large quantities of Christmas chocolate, it’s worth remembering that some of your favorite foods at Christmas could be deadly for your dog.

The answer is to make sure that everyone in your household – especially the visitors who might not have dogs themselves – knows that chocolate can be a killer and that all chocolate is kept well away from dogs. Keep it up high, hidden, locked up – whatever it takes because I’ve known dogs to take chocolate from inside a child’s Christmas Stocking!

The chocolate we eat is poison to a dog. So your best chocolate is the worst thing possible for your dog. If your dog does get hold of chocolate (and it happens more often than you think), get in contact with your vet. Chocolate isn’t the only food that could spell catastrophe for your dog this Christmas – did you know that just a handful of grapes or raisins can cause kidney failure?

Christmas Chocolate – Hampers Mean Chocolates Too!

A lot of people love Christmas Chocolate. Chocolate comes from the beans of Cacao Trees and during the ancient times, Mayans worshiped these trees and believed they are food of the gods. Soon, cocoa became popular but especially its best known outcome, the chocolate.

Quaint chocolate shops are also existent in every major city in the world. Tourists and locales alike couldn’t help but salivate and be mesmerized by the various chocolates displayed on shop windows. Christmas Chocolate are available in different colors, flavors, sizes and textures. Some are individually wrapped, placed in boxes or intentionally piled on Christmas hampers. May the occasion be Valentine’s Day, Thanksgiving, birthdays or Christmas, chocolates are simply perfect. Chocolates are not so bad during Christmas too.

Christmas sweets filled with Christmas Chocolate are no less than exceptional. No matter what the occasion, these sweets just make the time better especially if they are in Christmas hampers.
